About Myers Farms

Our Vision

Our Purpose

Our Purpose

Beef that is worked with purpose, farmed sustainably, and nurtured as we know it will nurture us.

Our Purpose

Our Purpose

Our Purpose

Our farm serves four purposes:

  • Provide our family (and yours too) with hormone and antibiotic-free grass-fed beef
  • Teach our kids and others where food comes from, respecting its origin, its importance, and how it’s treated
  • Embed a strong work ethic in our family
  • Glorify God through all we do

Our Family

Our Purpose

Our Family

We are the Myers! We live on Myers Lane. We run Myers Farms. We love all living things. Our “family” includes us (Donald & Mauri), our two kids, the cows, chickens (usually), ducks (sometimes), dogs (always), and a little barn kitten named, Georgie!

How it works

We sell our cattle per pound (live weight) by the 1/2 or full cow. Our goal is for the full grown cow to be about 1,000lb. We don‘t know the true weight until they are taken to the processor. You pay us the per-pound-price at that time and pay the processor directly when you pick up your meat from them.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach out to us if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Myers Farms is a small, family-owned and operated grass-fed beef farm in Arkansas. We also sell cage-free eggs seasonally.

We typically charge $2/lb live weight. Our cows can range in weight from 850-1,200lb but we strive to grow our cows to about 1,000lb. Therefore, price per half ranges from $850-$1,200.

We have a preferred processor in Rudy, AR (Rice Processing). They take cutting orders directly from our customers after the cows have been dropped off. They usually allow the meat to hang and age (yum) for 2-4 weeks to ensure top quality.

A cut order is how you prefer your meat cut/processed. For example, we prefer thick cut steaks so we go 1.5” rather than the standard .75”. We also have most of the roasts processed into ground beef since we don’t eat many roasts. A quick internet search can provide you with cut order ideas. Here is our go-to order:

  • 1.5” steaks
  • 2 roasts - all others as ground beef
  • 2lb packages of ground beef
  • short ribs
  • fajita meat
  • stew meat
  • soup bones
  • 1 brisket
  • cube steaks

You will pick up your meat directly from the processor in Rudy, AR when it is ready. We recommend taking several coolers to keep them cold.

Since our cows are grass-fed and grass-finished, they usually produce a leaner, healthier meat. You should still see marbling but maybe not as much as with grain-fed. We believe our meat tastes amazing, reflecting the happy, bucolic farm life our cattle enjoy.

We typically do not do sales by the 1/4 because cutting orders are by the half cow only.

We are a family of 4, and half a cow lasts us all year, plus a little. However we only eat beef a couple of times per week (if that).
